Creator program
Get paid to put good books in front of kids
ReadHatch turns any book a kid finishes into an AI-generated comprehension quiz — and a collectible pet they only keep if they actually understood what they read. If you make content for parents, tutors, or book people, there's a version of that story your audience already wants to hear.
We're onboarding a small first cohort. ReadHatch is an independent, self-funded app — not a company with a creator-marketing department. We're working with a handful of creators to start so we can actually be responsive to each of you.
The deal
Stated plainly, because vague “competitive commission” copy wastes everyone's time.
- What you earn
- $8.00 per conversion
- 20% of the $39.99 annual plan, as a one-time bounty on each new subscription you bring in.
- What counts
- Annual subscriptions only
- Monthly subscriptions are not part of the program. The margin on a $4.99/mo plan can't support a creator payout, so we left it out rather than pay you a rate that isn't worth your time.
- How you're tracked
- Your own Insert Link
- One smart link that works everywhere you post — no code for anyone to remember or mistype. It detects the platform and whether ReadHatch is already installed, then either opens the app or sends them to the App Store. After they install, our SDK remembers you referred them and credits what they buy later.
- When you're paid
- 30 days after the sale
- Commissions clear once Apple's refund and chargeback window closes, then they're available for payout from your affiliate dashboard.
Worked example: a follower taps your link, installs ReadHatch, and subscribes to the $39.99 annual plan. You earn $8.00. Ten conversions in a month is $80.00.
Who this works for
Parents of 6–12 year olds
Especially if you talk about reluctant readers, screen-time bargaining, homeschool routines, or reading logs. The parent who has tried three reading apps already is exactly who converts.
Kidlit and book creators
BookTok and Bookstagram accounts that cover middle-grade and chapter books. ReadHatch works with any book — you don't have to change what you already post about.
Tutors and reading specialists
This is our most under-served angle and the least competed. If you run reading groups or tutor privately, the tutor-facing framing converts well and almost nobody is making content for it.
How it works
- 01
Email us
Send your handle, your platforms, and one recent post you're proud of. Follower count matters far less than whether your audience is actually parents, tutors, or book people.
- 02
Get your link and kit
We generate an Insert Link that's yours alone and send login details for your affiliate dashboard, where you can watch clicks, installs, and earnings as they land.
- 03
Post whatever fits your feed
Use the assets below or shoot your own. We don't require script approval — we'd rather you sound like yourself. The rules section covers the few things we do need.
- 04
Get paid
Commissions are held 30 days to clear Apple refunds and chargebacks, then paid out through the affiliate dashboard.
Brand kit
Everything here is cleared for you to use in content promoting ReadHatch. You never need to ask permission for a specific post.
For Reels & TikTok
Nothing in this section has our copy baked into it — you write the words. That's deliberate: a video that opens on a finished ad card gets skipped, and one that opens on your own line doesn't.
Hatchling cutouts
Download all 10All ten collectible pets on transparent backgrounds. Drop one over your own footage. This is the strongest thing in the kit — they stop the scroll on their own and they don't read as advertising.

Bare app screenshots
Download all screenshotsThe core loop with no marketing text on top: find a book, take the quiz, see the score, hatch the pet. Add your own overlay copy. Use these if you'd rather not screen-record yourself.
For Stories & Pinterest
Finished portrait cards with the copy already set. Best as a Story slide you react to, a Pin, or the end card of a video — not as an opening frame. A polished card in the first second of a Reel reads as an ad and loses the view before your hook lands.
App Store cards
Download all cardsThese are 1284×2778 — taller than a 9:16 Story, so expect thin side bars or a small vertical crop when you post one. That extra height is ideal on Pinterest, where tall pins get more feed space.
For feed posts, X, and blogs
Landscape layouts with the tagline already set. Wrong shape for Stories, right shape for an in-feed post, a tweet, a YouTube community post, or a newsletter header.
Banner cards
Download all bannersLogos
Please don't recolor, stretch, or add effects to the logo. Everything else in this kit is fair game.
Need raw video or the hatching clips? Those files are too large to host here. Email us and we'll send a link.
Hooks that have worked
Steal these. You know your audience better than we do, so change anything — but if you're staring at a blank timeline, start here.
“POV: my 7yo just asked if she could read.”
Aspirational parent POV. Highest-performing format we've tested. Works best over handheld B-roll, not a talking head.
“She used to hide from books.”
Problem-first open. Pair with the hatch reveal at the end so the emotional arc closes.
“If you tutor reluctant readers, watch this.”
Tutor angle. Use a calm underscore, not high-energy audio — this audience skips anything that sounds like an ad.
“My kid says he read it. I have no idea if he actually did.”
Names the exact problem the app solves. Good for carousel or text-post formats too.
“He only keeps the creature if he actually understood the book.”
The mechanic explained in one line. Strong second beat after any hook.
“Reading apps that read TO your kid aren't teaching them to read.”
Contrarian open. Pivots naturally into what makes ReadHatch different.
A structure that reliably works
Roughly 20 seconds, vertical, captions baked in — most of your audience watches muted.
| Time | Beat | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 0–2s | Hook | One bold line of on-screen text. No logo yet. |
| 2–7s | Problem | Sell the pain — the skimmed book, the reading log nobody fills in. |
| 7–13s | The loop | Screen recording: find a book → quiz → score → points. |
| 13–18s | Reveal | The hatch. Let it breathe — no text over this beat. |
| 18–22s | CTA | “Link in bio” — and say it out loud, not just on screen. |
Program rules
Short, and none of it is boilerplate. Breaking these can void commissions and end the partnership, so it's worth two minutes.
Disclose the partnership, every time
US law requires it and it is our responsibility as the advertiser to tell you so. Use #ad or #sponsored where it's actually visible — not buried at the end of a hashtag block, not hidden behind a “more” cut. If you're speaking in the video, say it out loud too. This protects you as much as us.
Don't promise outcomes we can't back
No claims about guaranteed reading-level gains, grade improvements, or test scores. ReadHatch checks comprehension and motivates kids to finish books — that's a real and honest claim. “Raises your child's reading level two grades” is not, and it's the kind of claim that gets a whole program shut down.
No implied endorsements
Don't suggest ReadHatch is endorsed, approved, or required by any school, district, curriculum body, or Apple. We aren't affiliated with Accelerated Reader or any school reading program, even where we get compared to them.
Kids on camera are your responsibility
If your content features a child, you need the right to post them. We won't ask you to prove it, but we also can't take that risk on for you.
Keep your link in your own content
Don't post it to coupon aggregators, deal forums, or browser-extension databases. Those installs cost us margin without bringing anyone new who wasn't already coming, and it's the fastest way to get a link retired.
No brand bidding, no self-referrals
Please don't buy paid search ads on “ReadHatch” or close variants — you'd be charging us for traffic we already had. Installing through your own link doesn't earn a commission.
We may update these rules or end the program with notice. If we do, anything you've already earned still gets paid — we won't claw back commissions on conversions that already happened.
Questions creators ask
Do I earn on monthly subscriptions?
No — annual only. We'd rather tell you that up front than have you promote something that quietly pays nothing.
Do I earn on renewals?
No. It's a one-time bounty on the initial annual conversion. We chose this over a recurring split because it means the number is predictable for both of us and we're never in a position where we have to cut a rate you've already built content around.
When do I get paid?
Commissions clear after a 30-day hold, which covers Apple's refund and chargeback window. After that they're available for payout through your affiliate dashboard.
How long is the attribution window?
Attribution attaches at install. Once someone taps your link and installs ReadHatch, our SDK remembers you referred them — so a subscription they start weeks later still credits to you. What breaks it is someone hearing about us from you and then searching the App Store manually instead of tapping through. That's why it's worth saying "tap the link in my bio" out loud rather than just showing the name on screen.
Is ReadHatch Android or web?
iOS only right now. Worth knowing before you post to an audience that skews Android.
Can I say I got the app for free?
Yes, and you should if you did — we'll comp you a Pro account so you can actually use the thing before you recommend it. Just disclose it alongside the affiliate relationship.
How many affiliates are you taking?
A small first cohort. We'd rather work closely with a few creators whose audience genuinely fits than hand links to everyone and learn nothing. If we're full when you write in, we'll say so rather than leave you waiting.
Want a link?
Email us your handle, your platforms, and one post you're proud of. A real person reads every one of these and you'll hear back either way.
