1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ReadHatch ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The App is intended for use by parents and guardians to manage reading activities for their children.

2. Description of Service

ReadHatch is a mobile application that allows children to take AI-generated reading comprehension quizzes, earn points and rewards, and track their reading progress. Parents create and manage reader profiles for their children.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including any reader profiles you create. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

ReadHatch offers a free tier with limited quizzes per month and a paid Pro subscription with unlimited access. Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms and policies.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies

5. AI-Generated Content

Quiz questions are generated by artificial intelligence based on book information. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. ReadHatch is a supplementary educational tool and should not be relied upon as the sole measure of reading comprehension. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or educational value of any quiz content.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or services
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized third parties

7. Intellectual Property

ReadHatch and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ReadHatch and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Book metadata displayed in the App is sourced from Open Library and is used under their terms of use.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReadHatch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
